The Department of African and African American Studies convened a one – day conference on Sudan’s Post-Referendum Challenges and the future of its two regions on April 9, 2011 at Fordham University, the Lincoln Center campus. The conference focused on how the two regions of Sudan can best address the post-referendum challenges to avoid the renewal of conflicts and return to civil war after the referendum.
Watch H.E. Mr. Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, Head of Mission for the Government of Southern Sudan to the United States in Washington, D.C. He presented a fresh vision and explored policy options for peaceful coexistence between the two states.
