Two Sudanese men trying to find their way into Israel have been shot dead by Egyptian border police.
Security officials said the guards saw them near the border on Wednesday and ordered them to stop. They ignored the warnings and were shot dead.
They said four other Africans surrendered and were not harmed. The incident took place about 10 kilometers south of the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and Gaza.
African migrants in search of work or asylum trying to sneak into Israel usually get killed by Egyptian border guards every year. This has drawn criticism from human rights groups.
Egypt should be condemned for such acts of human brutality and the African Union should take serious action against the Egyptian government who time and again perpetrate crimes of such nature against Africans.
