The President of the Republic of Ghana, John Evans Atta Mills, will play host to Presidents Alassane Ouattara of Cote D’Iviore and Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria, who will visit Ghana officially on Thursday, October 06, 2011, and Friday, October 07, 2011, respectively.
A statement by Head of Communications at the presidency, Koku Anyidoho, said the visit is both for “working and friendship” purposes. President Ouattara will have a closed-door session with President Atta Mills and meet with a section of the Ivorian community in Ghana.
Ghana and Cote D’Iviore will also sign an agreement with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, UNHCR, relating to Ivorian refugees in Ghana.
President Jonathan will also have a closed-door session with President Atta Mills and be the Special Guest at the Golden Jubilee anniversary of the Ghana Institute of Management And Public Administration, GIMPA.
While in Ghana, Jona-than would be conferred with an honorary doctorate degree by the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administra-tion, as part of the cele-bration of its Golden Jubilee and would later be hosted to a State Banquet by President John Atta-Mills at The Castle, Accra.
