Protesters on Wednesday took the ongoing protest to another level by burning down IBB’s campaign office, the INEC office along David Mark road in Minna, the Governor’s campaign office at Mobil Roundabout, Senator Awaisu Kuta’s house, and PDP vice chairman Barr. Tanko Beji’s chamber in Minna, Niger State.
The riot broke out after the announcement by head of service in Niger state asking workers to resume work.
A Police Inspector was also killed in the mayhem and properties worth thousands of naira burnt.
The chamber of the vice chairman of the PDP was destroyed along with a bus in the premises.
The protesters said: “It was wrong of the Head of Service to direct people to go to work. We are not going to allow anybody to go to work until when Jonathan reverts the pump price of N65 per litre of petrol.”
