JTF Kills 3 Boko Haram Suspects In Kano

The Joint Military Task force killed three suspected members of the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram in a gun battle Tuesday night in Kano.

According to JTF Spokesman, Lt. Ikedichi Iweha, the incident occurred in one of the military checkpoint in the ancient city while security personnels on guard tried to apprehend the gunmen fleeing the city in a “stolen vehicle”.

He said that the gunmen had robbed a resident of a posh car shortly after the climax of an evening rush hour in the city, while the JTF was promptly put on notice by a good Samaritan on the development forcing us to evolve a strategy that will lead to their arrest.

“We immediately formed a ring round the radius where the incident happened putting the security agents in the affected areas on red alert to block the escape and the strategy paid off when the gunmen arrived in one of the checkpoints and resolved to combat their way through , and unfortunately they were killed during the daring act”, Lt I Ikediche Iweha narrated.

“It is also in line with available intelligence to the fact that criminal terrorist elements are going about desperately looking for specific vehicle to be used for suicide bombing mission in Kano metropolis, therefore members of the general public are enjoin to be vigilant”, Lt Iweha stressed.

Lt Ikediche Iweha revealed that two AK47 Riffle, a pistol and another locally made shot gun were recovered during the search conducted on the recovered vehicle.
