Bukola Saraki Surrenders To Police In Abuja

Former Governor of Kwara State and current senator, Bukola Saraki, accused of defrauding a defunct Nigerian bank of $133.5 million, has submitted himself to police headquarters in Abuja where he is being interrogated at the moment.

“He sneaked in here, and we are interrogating him here,” said a top police source.

Saraki had been sought by the Special Fraud Unit of the NPF based in Lagos over an alleged N9.7 billion loan issue.
The police said that as governor, Saraki obtained a loan from the defunct Intercontinental Bank Plc through a proxy company, Joy Petroleum, owned by his late aide, Matthew Obahor.
