In a statement on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Paul Mumeh, the senate president reacted to yesterday’s bomb attack at a Church in Bayero University Kano, saying: “No matter the anger or grievances in a man’s mind, taking the life of another cannot provide a solution.”
“This is ungodly; it is inhuman and does not enjoy the support of any right thinking member of the society.”
“We must collectively rise against the perpetrators of violence taking the lives of our people and property at will unchallenged, because no one knows the next victim.”
He also charged the security agents to collaborate with one another and redefine their strategies for positive results, saying Nigeria has become a laughing stock on account of the unwarranted violent attacks leading to loss of precious lives and property.
He sympathized with the victims and asked all Nigerians to brace up to the challenge to tackle the challenge.
