The senior special assistant to the President on Public affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, has on Tuesday reacted to the killing of at least 26 students of Mubi Polytechnic, Adamawa.

In an interview (listen to the audio below) with Bola Mosuro of BBC, Okupe said: “There is no where in the history of the world where local insurgency has been brought under much control at the rate at which it has happened in Nigeria.”

“We are dealing with a very serious sect, the Boko Haram sect,” he said. “I am surprised that people are asking that why the President is assuring that his security is beefed up.

“Under this circumstance, the President is the commander-in-chief, when you go to war; the commander-in-chief is the one in charge. The fact that the security in the villa is beefed up is because of necessity and circumstances.”

Well police in Adamawa state are confirming that at least 25 people were killed in this attack. They have also stated they believe an insider was involved as the armed men apparently called victims by their names before killing them…So listen to what the government has said….
