The release of water from the Ladgo Dam in Cameroun has continued to wreak havoc in Nigeria as over 700,000 persons have been rendered homeless and more than 300,000 houses submerged in Makurdi, the Benue State capital. Affected communities include Kutcha, Gyado Villa, Udges Quarters Extention all on Makurdi- Gboko Road as well as Rice mill area of Wadata.
Flood victims in central Nigeria say dangerous animals such as crocodiles and hippos have invaded some of their homes.
