Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has appointed former member of the House of Representatives, Patrick Obahiagbon as his new Chief of Staff. He replaced Mr. Osarodion Ogie.
Mr Stephen Idehenre is the Deputy Chief of Staff, Governor’s Office.
Obahiagbon, popular for his rib-cracking grammatical expressions, was a former member of the House of Representatives.
The government also appointed a former Special Adviser to former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Governorship candidate in Edo State, Professor Julius Ihonvbere as Secretary to Edo State Government [SSG], who replaces Dr. Simon Imuekemhe.
A statement from the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Peter Okhiria announced the appointments.
The statement said Mr. Godwin Obaseki retains his position as the Chairman, Economic Team, while the former Chief of Staff, Mr. Osarodion Ogie now becomes the Vice-chairman of the Economic Team.
Mr. Stephen Idehenre was also appointed the new Deputy Chief of Staff, Governor’s Office.
Yakubu Aliyu was also appointed the new Principal Secretary to the Governor, while Mr. Peter Okhiria retained his position as Chief Press Secretary, while Princess Theresa Erediauwa also returned as the focal person and Executive Director, Millennium Development Goals (MDG).
Swearing-in of the SSG and others will hold on Thursday, November 15 at the Festival Hall, Government House, Benin City by 10:00am.
