Okonjo-Iweala’s mother freed by kidnappers

Okonjo-Iweala’s mum, Prof. Kamene Okonjo, 82 The mother of Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Prof Kamene Okonjo has been released five days after she was kidnapped.

Delta State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, who confirmed her release said the 82-year-old grandmother, who was abducted Sunday, was released hail and hearty early Friday morning.

He confirmed Mrs Okonjo’s release, but gave no further details.

82-year-old retired professor, Kamene Okonjo was seized from her home in Delta State on Sunday.
