A website to propagate the good work of the ” Better Ghana Agenda’ policies of the ruling National Democratic Congress [NDC] under the leadership of President elect, H.E. John Dramani Mahama has been launched.
The website will give the party followers and Ghanaians both home and abroad the opportunity to be informed of what the Government has done and doing. The website is expected to bring to an end certain ill fated lies labeled against the NDC by the opposition parties led by the NPP that the NDC is under performing.
Launching the website in Accra, Reverend Kelvin Nii Tetteh Catenor , called on the youth of Ghana to support the Better Ghana Agenda of President Mahama to succeed.
He said the President does not only have the youth at heart but also believes in them hence the creation of various youth movements in his name prior to the December 7 General Elections who supported him to victory.
He commended the youth of Ghana for throwing their weight behind President Mahama’s candidature and added that He is optimistic the President will positively justify the hope reposed in him by the youth and Ghanaians in General.
He advised NDC supporters to celebrate the party’s victory in the just ended polls in a modest manner without provocating supporters of other political parties.
He urged the NDC followers, the youth especially to always access the website in order to be abreast with current developmental issues and projects being undertaken by the Government.
On his part, Mr. Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, of the Movement for Mahama commended the various Mahama Movements who toured the length and breadth of this country to secure a one-touch victory for the President and the NDC.
He indicated that the Movement’s agenda and vision on Ghana’s political landscape has the objectives to defend, uphold and promulgate the integrity, vision and legacy of President Mahama and the NDC.
The Movement is to also garner youth support, bolster existing blocs and to attract fresh voters for an NDC victory in election 2012, to exemplify unique communication and branding expertise and innovative concepts for the President and the party, he added.
He noted that the NDC won the polls based on merit as majority of the people have endorsed the party and its presidential candidate because of the party’s unprecedented track record in its first term.
Phase one of the Movement’s mission has been a success adding ” it will be meaningless unless we grow from strength to strength”. Operation Mahama 2016 begins right here and now”.
He urged NDC followers not to be complacent with success chalked in the recent election but be rather confident in the future because the President has not deviated from the values and principles instilled in him by his mentor and political father, the late President J.E.A. Mills.
