The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has finalized with the Broadcast Rights owners and the Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria, BON, that the 2013 AFCON Final match will be beamed live on local TV stations in Nigeria, CAF Secretary General, Hicham El Amran, told a media conference in Johannesburg.

According to him, the confederation and the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria had reached an understanding that would enable Nigerian television stations to pick signals of the final match and broadcast to Nigerian homes.

Since the competition began on January 19, Nigerian television stations have not been able to show the matches live, owing to disputes on the television rights which were considered too high.

Millions of Nigerians across the country will now be able to watch the final match between Nigeria and Burkina Faso in their homes on local television stations for the first time since the competition started.

Nigeria scored three goals in a blistering 20-minute first-half spell as they routed Mali 4-1 to reach the final of the African Nations Cup for the first time since 2000 on Wednesday.
