The state FRSC Sector Commander, Mr Godwin Ogagaoghene, made this figure available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan.
He said the death was recorded in 32 road traffic accidents during the period and that this involved 207 persons, with 120 of them sustaining varying degrees of injuries.
Ogagaoghene attributed the crashes to reckless driving and over-speeding on the part of drivers, saying that most of the victims disregarded traffic rules.
While appealing to motorists to always exercise patience on the roads, he urged them to always be on the look-out for traffic signs which indicate road situations and speed limits.
The FRSC official also warned against driving by underage persons, saying “any person below 18 years old caught driving would be immediately prosecuted through the mobile courts’’. NAN
