President Goodluck Jonathan has received with much sadness and a feeling of great national loss, news of the passing away of the traditional Prime Minister of Ondo Kingdom, High Chief Bayo Akinnola, yesterday in Lagos.
On behalf of himself and the Federal Government, President Jonathan extends sincere commiserations to his daughter and Minister of Communications Technology, Mrs. Omobola Johnson, other members of the Akinnola family as well as the Government and people of Ondo State.
The President joins them in mourning the illustrious Lisa of Ondo Kingdom who distinguished himself in life as a renowned educationist, administrator, entrepreneur, industrialist and leader of his people.
President Jonathan urges Chief Akinnola’s family, friends, associates, dependants and admirers to be consoled by the knowledge that he lived a most fulfilled life, and has left a legacy of notable achievements in various fields of human endeavour for his offspring, inheritors and others to build upon.
The President prays that God Almighty will console all who mourn Chief Akinnola and grant his departed soul eternal peace.
