My brother had sex with my wife, got her pregnant – Nelson Mandela’s grandson

Mandla Mandela Nelson Mandela’s family war exploded yesterday with extraordinary allegations over illicit affairs.

His eldest grandson Mandla dramatically launched an attack on his own brother Mbuso.

He claimed Mbuso had enjoyed secret sex sessions with his own wife and got her pregnant.

Mandla said he didn’t want to wash his “dirty linen” in public but then went on to also allege his:

* brother Ndaba was born as a result of their dad’s fling with a married woman.

* two other brothers are not his father’s children.

* Aunt Makaziwe should concentrate on her own marriage.

* other Aunts Kweku Amuah and Tokoziwe Mandela had “no business” in family matters.

Mandla said he was “highly disappointed” at his brother Ndaba’s behaviour.

“He claims in media reports I was born out of wedlock,” said Mandla. “ I wish he would say that in the presence of my father.

“I want to remind him that I do not hand out our dirty linen as a family in public.

“He knows very well that my father impregnated a married woman – he is a result of that act.

“He should be very careful when he wants to throw insults, particularly to my mother, who still sits by my side, nurtures, and ensures I can wake up every day to serve my community.

“As for my remaining two brothers: They are not my father’s children. Proof is there in the birth of my own child.”

He then added simply: “Mbuso impregnated my wife.”

He declined to discuss the matter further.
The row exploded after three graves of Mandela’s children were exhumed following a controversial court case.

They were re-interred 15 miles away yesterday afternoon in Mandela’s home village of Qunu where he wants to buried.

Mandla said: “I still refuse to be associated with the squabble over my grandfather’s money and you will see the real agenda will be revealed.

“Nelson Mandela was there when I became chief -now individuals opportunistically question my legitimacy.

“Grandfather asked me to take responsibility after my father died.

“Back then my grandfather prophesied about these days. He would ask ‘who of you will live in rural areas?’ All my brothers said no.

“He would laugh and smile at me. He would ask if anyone opposed me becoming the Mvezo chief. None of them challenged it.”

He described the timing of the family’s decision to seek court action as “curious”.

“The issue not so much moving bones, but timing as bones were moved two years ago,” he said.

“It seems like anyone can come and claim to be a Mandela and jump on the bandwagon.

“Tokoziwe Mandela is belongs to her own family – she has no business in Mandela family matters.

“And Makaziwe should focus on her own family and marriage. But so far all she does is sow divisions in the family.

“And Kweku Amuah also has no business in Mandela family matters. My grandfather, like myself, would be highly disappointed in what is unravelling.

The graves are Mandela’s eldest son Makgato who died in 2005; Mandela’s first daughter Makaziwe, who died as a child in 1948; and Mandela’s second son Thembekile, who died in a car accident in 1969.
