VIDEO: Obasanjo, Gowon, Ekwueme, Osinbajo sing for better Nigeria

Former Nigerian leaders Olusegun Obasanjo, Yakubu Gowon, Ernest Shonekan collaborate with former deputies, Ebitu Ukiwe, Alex Ekwueme, Oladipo Diya and current vice president Professor Yemi Osinbajo to sing a hymn for a greater, united and peaceful Nigeria in 2017.

The song is Isaac Watts hymn, “Our God, Our Help in Ages Past,” with the video recorded early December 2016.

The video will surely give Nigerians the right vibes to begin another year’s journey.

    This is remarkable, unbelievable and commendable. It is also unprecedented just as it is highly inspirational.
    At this moment in our nation’s history when hopelessness stares all defiantly in the eyes, this seems to me the most needed tonic of hope.
    The decision of these great leaders to sing, I mean sing, for a greater Nigeria clearly defines their level of patriotism. It means there is nothing they can’t do for this country.
    While I recommend a national award for whoever conceived the idea, I believe history will be kind to these leaders. See how Chief Obasanjo exudes the joy of fulfilment ..wonderful!
