Senate rejection: Nobody can stop me from fighting corruption to the finish – Magu

Ibrahim Magu who was rejected by the Nigerian Senate as the substantive chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday, says he is determined to fight corruption to the finish and nobody can stop him.

Mr. Magu was rejected again after appearance before the Senate for his confirmation hearing.

Although the EFCC boss had answered to the satisfaction of lawmakers earlier questions he was asked, senators challenged his suitability given the report against him by the SSS.

Speaking to National Assembly Correspondents shortly after answering questions from the senators, Magu said: “We are determined to fight corruption to the finish and nobody can stop us.”
